Marie I. Kaiser forscht und lehrt seit Juni 2018 als Professorin für Wissenschaftsphilosophie an der Fakultät für Geschichtswissenschaft, Philosophie und Theologie, wo sie zuvor als Juniorprofessorin tätig war. Marie I. Kaiser hat Philosophie und Biologie an der Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität Münster studiert und an der Universität zu Köln promoviert. Sie arbeitete wissenschaftlich an den Universitäten Münster, Köln und Genf/Schweiz und war Gastwissenschaftlerin an der University of Minnesota (USA) und an der University of Calgary (Kanada). Neben der Allgemeinen Wissenschaftsphilosophie und der Metaphysik forscht sie vor allem im Gebiet der Philosophie der Lebenswissenschaften. In ihren Forschungen arbeitet sie stark interdisziplinär und bringt vor allem philosophische und biologische Perspektiven zusammen. Marie I. Kaiser ist PI unter anderem im TRR-SFB 212 zu individualisierten Nischen und im GRK 2073 zur Integration von Ethik und Epistemologie der Wissenschaften. Weitere Informationen finden Sie hier.
Am 29.11.2019 wurde Prof. Dr. Marie I. Kaiser als erste Prorektorin für Personalentwicklung und Gleichstellung an der Universität Bielefeld gewählt. In dem Prorektorat werden neben den Themen Personalentwicklung für die Wissenschaft und Gleichstellung auch die Querschnittsthemen Gesundheit sowie Familienfreundlichkeit politisch vertreten.

Marie I.
