Learning to optimize
Warum soll man selbst Methoden zur Lösung von Optimierungsproblemen schreiben, wenn ein maschinelles Lernmodell diese Aufgabe übernehmen kann? Wir verwenden Techniken des maschinellen Lernens, wie z. B. Deep Reinforcement Learning, um automatisch Heuristiken für die Lösung schwieriger Optimierungsprobleme zu erlernen, wie z. B. Routing- und Terminplanungsprobleme.
Optimierung unter Unsicherheit
Die Zukunft ist ungewiss. Dieses Fakt muss bei der Planung von Entscheidungen berücksichtigt werden. Wir entwickeln neue Techniken, um die Ungewissheit besser in Optimierungsmodelle und -methoden einzubeziehen, mit dem Ziel, effektive Entscheidungen zu gewährleisten.
Effiziente Logistik und Transport
Meine Arbeitsgruppe ist spezialisiert auf die Modellierung und Lösung von Optimierungsproblemen im Bereich der Logistik und des Transports, wobei wir uns besonders auf den Seetransport konzentrieren. Wir verwenden eine breite Palette von Techniken, die von gemischt-ganzzahliger linearer Programmierung über Constraint Programming bis hin zu Metaheuristiken reichen. In diesem Forschungsbereich arbeiten wir eng mit Partnern aus der Industrie zusammen und verfügen über beträchtliche Erfahrung bei der Entwicklung von Lösungen für reale Probleme.
